This is the RIGHT answer!!! Now, I'm assuming normal room temperature, say 21°C. Gallium is a solid, but only until 29.7646 °C then it will become a liquid. So, @ room temperature, it is like butter in the summer.

As far as the solid elements go, cesium is considered the softest.

depends on your definition of soft. if it's the softest to touch then it's one of the gases. if it's soft as is hard/soft base/etc. than it's something like Hg.

If you exclude gases, then I would suggest, gallium. It's considered a soft metal, but it melts in your hands. Can't be any softer than that!
