My periods are irregular, and ive been trying to have a baby for a year now, I wanted to see the infertility doctor, but my insurance said I have no coverage for that....what now??? Is it expensive to see a obgyn on my own??

a OB/GYN not too bad but it really depends on where you are located at... fertility doctor is a different story.. they are alot more expensive

YES!...it took my sister 6 years to finally carry a baby to full term..it was a long hard road but I know have 2 beautiful nieces :) Invetro is about 3 to 5,000 a pop. ( at least in Calif. ) If a baby is what you really want do what it takes....save your money, relax and try to enjoy it. When God is ready for you to be a mom, you'll get pregnant! Good Luck!

To be honest, those in-vitro numbers sounded low to me. There may be alternatives to in-vitro, howerver - there are (cheaper) things they try first, like sperm wash, etc, and they check for potential issues.
