When Im doing hw and I just cant think anymore, I take a 10 minute break and drink warm milk with some honey. I know that sounds weird and at first it tastes weird but then its ok if you don't want to try that, then drink something cold.

Tanke a little break. Stretch, go for a quick jog around the block, or anything to get your blood flowing. Focus on something unrelated for 10 minutes. Have some juice or a very quick snack and then smile and dive right back in with a refreshed attitude.
If you are truly exhausted sometimes it's best to sleep and then get up early and attack the homework with fresh eyes, if you have the time for that.

Stop thinking and try to meditate.
My opinion is that the brain can not be overloaded.
Stress and feeling overwhelmed can take over peoples mind.
“The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one.”
“Sound character provides the power with which a person may ride the emergencies of life instead of being overwhelmed by them. Failure is... the highway to success.”
“To do anything truly worth doing, I must not stand back shivering and thinking of the cold and danger, but jump in with gusto and scramble through as well as I can.”

Take a ten minute nap. Seriously, this always works for me. You could also try doing something "brainless" like reading an unchallenging book, one you've read before, for a few minutes, or talk on the phone or something. The key is, you want your brain to do as little as possible, and even talking and watching and reading are something. Sleep is best.

Take a break. Do something else for a little while, and then go back to the work. Of course that is assuming you have time to do this. If you don't have much time, even a break of a few minutes can be helpful and ease the stress a little.

Take a break, drink some juice. Sit for about 10 minutes with eyes closed. Then back at whatever you are working on.
