Document the abuse - write down dates and times and what was said in an impartial way. If you can get co-workers to act as witnesses do so. Then next step is to go over the head of the manager to the district manager. DO NOT put up with this on your job. It is not something you should have to deal with. You can find the name and contact info of the district manager by calling your corporate headquarters.

How important is this job to you? If your manager's manager already dislikes you, than the odds are you have a dismal future there in store. If you really like the company, try to change departments. This doesn't happen easily, basically you need to do extra work on the side to assist another department manager and win their favor. If they want you bad enough, they can help you get out of the rut. Otherwise, put your resume out there.

Going to human resources won't help. Even if you can make them stop bullying you, they will always resent you. You need to get away from them if you want to advance in your career.

Go to human resources. If is is a big corporation, your HR office may be located at your corporate office and ask for employee relations. Be sure you know "what you want done" though. They will ask. If you get no assist from them, go to upper management- or just try to find a new job w/ someone that will appreciate you :-)
Good Luck !!

There is supposed to be a list posted telling who is over who for just this type of situation. If this is a big corp and where you work is not the only location, then call the home office and ask who to talk to about a harassment complaint. It will be your word against theirs unless you have witnesses or recordings. If it's serious, then the next step would be to contact a lawyer.

Keep a detailed record of the types of harassment (who did it, when, who witnessed it, etc.). Go to your personnel department. If you don't get any satisfaction there, go to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). I have epilepsy, and I was forced to go on medical leave against my will, because the president of the bank thought I should change my medicine and wanted me to be off work while I adjusted to it. The EEOC was able to get me backpay for the time I was required to be off.
