Usual check up on you - weight, blood pressure, belly check, urine, etc.

Baby's heartbeat

Talking about upcoming tests - multiple marker (blood test around 16 weeks) and ultrasound (recommended 18 to 20 weeks)

Will answer your questions and will ask about your symptoms

Pretty simple - you'll be in and out. You shouldnt have an internal exam this time.

At that point, the doctor will be able to tell the sex of your child if that is your wish because the baby will be a lot more developed. Of course, the baby will be moving around a lot more. The doctor will just continue to let you know how the baby is progressing. Every pregnancy is different. I know at that time I started eating a lot more. lol. Since the baby will be bigger, there will be more weight on your poor feet, so you will have swollen ankles. I wish you all the best and I will pray that God bless you with a happy and healthy baby and that he get you through your delivery with no complications. Congratulations!!!!

If you had all the blood test at the first visit, then they will weigh you, have you pee in a cup and check for sugar in the urine, blood pressure, measure the fundus (top of the uterus), listen to the heartbeat and answer any questions you might have.

A good book to get is called "What to Expect When You Are Expecting". I don't know who wrote it, but it is a great book and so is "Pregnancy For Dummies". It is a book from the dummy series and it, and the "What to...", are great books for people who don't know is going on with a pregnancy.

A urine specimen, the Dr. will feel around on just your belly, weigh you and possibly do an Ultrasound. This will only be the type across your belly not with the vaginal probe.

Good luck and congratulations!

Nothing really other than what they did the first week. It will be like that till your last 3 months... it just gets a little harder to walk from the parking lot to the elevator for me...

You get to hear the heart beat, they will measure you , you give a urine sample, make a appointment for your ultrasound , I was told that I had to get a shot cause my blood was negative type and I made a appointment for that but is was many many many weeks away

You can expext to be measured, hear the baby's heartbeat and the doctor will feel around your stomach a bit - as well as the normal - blood pressure, pee in a cup - all that.

Buy the book "What to expect when you are expecting" , its the baby bible for pregnant women. It tells you month to month what the changes in your body, changes in the baby, what to expect at your doctors visit and so much more. I loved this book, it helped me through my pregnancy.

Good Luck :-)
