It is your own piss, right? So you would not be able to get any diseases you did not have (assuming it has not been hanging around for too long).

It is however something that your body has got rid off, and contains all the nasty stuff that your kidneys have worked so hard to clean out of your system. Drinking too much would probably put unnecessary strain on them, as you would just have to 'get rid if it' again.

Some things are just not meant to be drunk, and wee is one of them.

Which may go to explain why, in some cultures, urine drinking is considered perfectly acceptable. At some point in these cultures' development need led to acceptance, and acceptance opened the door to popularization and, ultimately, to ritualization. Thus it was that the indigenous Siberians used their own urine for washing and bathing, native Alaskans used urine as an antiseptic for wounds, and in India and East Africa, tradition-minded people washed (and still do wash) themselves in cow urine (which can be more sterile than some water supplies). Among the 19th century Zuni, the consumption of urine and feces was, at times, elevated to the rank of religious ceremony

It has been filtered so it can't be that bad for you. Only the taste is offputting. And, if you were stuck in arid conditions and that's all there was to drink, I'm sure it would be more appealing!
I think the actress Sarah Miles used it as a face cleanser during the time when there was a fad for these things.........

You have to be careful. If you do not drink anything else the amount of free water in your urine will decrease and the salts will increase. Urine is a way for your body to remove excess water and some salts. If you drink your urine the body will remove the water and concentrate the urine. Just think of the colour and amount of urine when you have consumed a lot of water, it is clear and high in volume. If you dehydrate your urine concentrates. If you have a bacteria in your urine you could also be in trouble, most times your urine is sterile.

Are you insane? Urine is a waste product - it's the stuff your own body decided was useless. Your body got rid of it for a reason. You certainly shouldn't put it back in there. Drink a glass of water man!

Not recommended. Having been through survival training though, I can tell you it is required when there is no water to drink. Urine is actually sterile when it first comes out of the body.

It's like eating out of a garbage can, your bodies garbage can. It's not healthy at all. Water does a better job than urine ever can at cleaning out your body. Plus I doubt it would taste that great.

the only time it is acceptable, would be if you were in the desert and had no water,. then, it has to be the clear urine, not the yellow, which has all the bad bacteria and waste in it. the clear however, can be recycled, and used to survive, if there truly was an emergency

No.. it is not. That is all the waste products that our body is getting rid of. It could and probably would make you very ill to drink it.
