We have three basic types of muscle fibers in our body. Striated or skeletal muscles, smooth or non striated, and cardiac which is striated with a twist. Each of these muscles have a specific task in keeping the body functioning. The skeletal muscles are voluntary which means that they are under the control of our conscious will. We need these muscles to do our everyday work. The bigger they are the more work they are capable of doing. Our digestion, blood pressure, and other important bodily functions are too complicated for us to handle with our conscious will so the body has a special place for these directions to come from. This is the medulla of the brain. We can control our body temperature, digest our food without even worrying about it. The cardiac muscle is so special it is only found in the heart. This organ keeps beating 24/7. It is built in such a way that it never fatigues. Of course it is not under our voluntary control. So it is important to understand that these muscles have a purpose.

As well as things like your heart and digestive system being controlled involuntarily, a reflex response also controls muscles.
For example, if you put your hand on a boiling saucepan, receptors in your skin would send a message to your spinal cord which would send a message to the muscles in your arm and move it away from the heat. You cannot control this reaction, other reactions must have a message sent all the way to the brain and back before the response occurs. This takes longer and means that your hand would be touching the boiling pan for longer and you would end up being more burnt.

Some functions must work before you know how to use your muscles (babies wouldn't be trained to digest food), some things must work while unconcious (thus a hybrid voluntary/involuntary like the diaphragm), and some functions must occur so often and regularly that we wouldn't be able to use concious thought for anything else if we had to keep thinking about them (e.g. heart).

As I define gun administration; or as you do? you spot those 2 words can imply to distinctive human beings each and every little thing from historic past exams to banning computerized weapons all a thank you to taking weapons thoroughly out of u.s. and its human beings. For me smart controls and rules making it as complicated as plausible for criminal to get carry of weapons is solid gun administration. regrettably such rules and Controls can never thoroughly preclude the unlawful identifying to purchase and use of a gun and nevertheless enable solid human beings the desirable suited to arm themselves. right here is the conundrum, of you may no longer shop the undesirable men from getting a gun how can one dare to indicate the solid men no longer be allowed to look after themselves in type? i think of solid regulations geared to maximise advice from gun crime could be handed and welcomed yet without telling straightforward human beings they can't very own a gun and that i might help such initiatives. besides I help very severe effects mandated via federal regulation for any crime dedicated on which a gun is used. I imply no plea deals, no paroles, and no wrist slapping. No choose , felony expert or jury can shrink a charge or replace a sentence, say fifteen years in basic terms for having a gun tucked on your belt for the duration of a theft. Get caught, get convicted and you get 15 Years era. 25 in case you pointed it at yet another guy or woman and 40 to existence of you fired it. positioned some tooth in the regulations we've, make the criminals pay dearly and proceed to attempt for extra desirable rules for the two shoppers and sellers. yet better than something do it with stability, basic experience, and warning.

You could also forget how to digest your food and starve to death.

If you ever fell asleep, you die of suffocation because you weren't breathing.

However, premature ejaculation would be a thing of the past!! ... And no need for birth control!!! Even better... you could reach climax on demand!! At any time!! MAybe this isn't such a bad idea afterall!! ;-)

You don't really want to have to think about making your heart beat, do you? If it were a voluntary control, then you'd have to think about doing it all the time, and if you didn't, you'd die. The same goes for breathing (although that one's slightly more voluntary), and other bodily functions.
