Why did they cancel that show?

I loved the show.
It was canceled because the only big company that sponsored it was Wendy's. therefore it didn't make money for the company (fox). i was a contributor to the fanboards and we had been through other reasons for the cancellation for a long time.

But the good news: MSN this fall will be streaming free episodes. and other networks like G4 will be broadcasting the reruns. So people will learn from their mistakes.

Absolutely. the show was hilarious, but for whatever reason, the viewers weren't into it. Arrested Development is one of the funniest shows in the history of TV. I have waited since Seinfield for a show to be that good.

If you've never seen it, watch all 3 seasons on DVD. If you don't laugh, then there's something wrong with you.

Yes I liked it. It was cancelled for 2 different reasons

1: The creator and actors didin't want to do it forever. They all wanted to put their amazing talents into different projects
2: Even though critics and some people loved it, it wasn't a major hit with the general public.

Arrested Development was astupid show but it was funny. Why do they cancel any show? Obviously, it didn't get enough ratings!

The ratings were lousy. A small but loyal audience and strong critical raves is not enough when you're dealing with a commercial medium.

I loved it when it first came on and then it kind of fizzled. I don't know if the writer's left or something, but it wasn't the same.
