Even though he's injured now, i think he'll improve in the future, he's only 22 so his body cant handle pitching in the major leagues every 5 days yet. You should expect him to have a great offseason workout to improve on endurance and strength, and if he can make 35 starts a year, there's no reason he can't win 20 games with his stuff. He's absolutely filthy.

Liriano, 20, was 1-0 and gave up one run over 14 innings -- walking three and striking out 14. Liriano is 3-3 with a 2.98 ERA this seasons in 10 starts. He was part of last winter's trade that sent A.J. Pierzynski to the Giants for closer Joe Nathan.

He has great potential, but he also has some injury issues in his past. With young pitchers, you just never can tell. Mark Prior was supposed to have great mechanics, and he's been injured more than he's been healthy. I worry a lot about Liriano's recent forearm injury. I wouldn't be surprised to see him have two or three brilliant years, and then never pitch again. That would be sad, but not unexpected.

The Twins have a history of not burning out their young pitchers, so he should be able to put up some good numbers as long as he stays healthy. His stuff is as good as anybody playing right now, but the league will eventually catch up to him and his career numbers won't average out to be as good as this season's, but his stuff is still good enough to be an All-Star in most seasons...
