if it's your first time trimming your eye brows, PLEASE get professional help. There is a lady (Leen) who works part time at SNAILS (Wheelock 3rd floor) - she's really good, ex-Shu Uemura.

You can maintain your eyebrow shape subsequently by plucking just the stray hairs.

Don't ruin the shape of your eyebrows by D-I-Y-ing. It's not worth it.

Waxing is really the best method, but have it done professionally. It stings a little, but you can handle it. The sting only last for a few seconds. If you must pluck, then you need to take one finger and pull your eyebrow up in the shape of an arch. Take your tweezers and pluck one hair at a time. Do not do it in clumps or you could mess up the shape you are going for. Start from the fuller portion of your eyebrow...the part that is closer to your nose. Pluck from underneath the brow. Go slow and do it in a very well lit location. Get some magazines that have up close pictures of eyes/eyebrows. Good luck.

Take your time when it comes to plucking your eyebrows. The reason why you are poking yourself or in my case if I'm in a hurry, I grab my skin instead of my hair, is because you are trying to rush. Never take from the top and never take from the too much off the beginning of your eyebrow (like where your nose is). Your eyebrow should start where the corner of your nose/eyeball is. Your arch should be where your pupil in your eyeball is. The end of your eyebrow should be at the end of your eyeball. Try to keep your eyebrows someone thick but not to thin. And just don't grab random hairs and pull. Always be careful because once you pull, there is no going back. The beginning of your eyebrow should be thicker than the end so as you pluck, keep this in mind.

Getting your eyebrows waxed is much easier than doing it yourself. It really isnt painful. Plus, they see our shape of our eyebrows better than us, so they can tell what side is thicker or if this side isn't identical than the other. Try it!

I have gotten my eyebrows waxed and yes it does hurt. it stings for like a minute or two but then it goes away. There are some places that do a technique called threading. Supposedly it doesn't hurt at all. You should try that. Or just get someone who is good at plucking eyebrows do it for you.

lets see here how do i begin?take yourself into the bathroom with a ruler and place the ruler over your eyebrows and draw a straight line with a lipstick pencil to trace the top of your brow then you take the same ruler where you started the first line go to the outer edge [by your ear] and draw a second smaller little line then you puck where you feel a need to rubbing your eyebrows from nose to ear really hard pressure[now now not too hard] will be as if you numbed it first or freeze with ice cube by rubbing cube over eyebrow first . to make a [your opinion]eyebrow arch perhaps you might draw a eyebrow over your own and puck puck away... REMEMBER NEVER NEVER PLUCK OVER ALWAYS ALWAYS UNDER good luck [personally you might not think so but youngsters only are asking for trouble when starting to shave their legs or to pluck or bikini wax see the time that you remove your hair the new hair that grows back is darker and more coarse than the first so its best never to start

Learning to pluck your own eyebrows is hard...I still not good at it..Getting your eyebrows waxed is alot less painful then plucking because they do a whole strip at once..Plus they look alot better. Try it its only like $10 and you will like it alot better.

i'm not too good at plucking mine either (and i'm 23!) but one tip i do know is that the arch should be right there above the pupil of your eye.
