No. Girls used to do this and everyone goes to jail in the end. The officials ask a lot of questions in interviews too and really small ones to make sure you aren't just getting married to get a green card.

Pretending you are in love with someone when you aren't is mean and cruel and if anyone will go to hell it would be you if you do this to someone.

It's also not that easy. My husband is Canadian and worked in the US for 5 years with temporary papers and never got his permanent papers yet! For that reason we are both outside of the US right now. I lived for years in Canada and speak both national languages and they never gave me my papers in Canada.

And, divorce varies by state. It takes lots of time, money and various other rules depending on the state.

I would recommend trying to apply by more normal routes and probably apply to Canada. They seem to be willing to take anyone and everyone of any nationality as long as you are not from the US. They have a great medical system and a lot of people get their Canadian citizenship with the idea of going to work in the US under Free Trade.

Maybe look into Ireland they were desperate for workers at all levels for awhile. Immigration rules change and are constantly tightening.

You haven't told us much about yourself. If you have a good education and especially something like engineering or medicine it's easier to get in. In Canada they have high quality universities too.

And, look around you. We don't know where you live. Maybe it's better than the US or Canada. The streets of the US are not paved in gold (Neither are those in Canada). There are many poor without jobs. If you are a professional with a good job you can live better in the US than in Europe. If not you are in trouble. But, in some poorer countries you can live well as a professional and better than a professional in the US because things are cheaper.

So, my advice is to realize that the US is not like you see on TV; get the best education you can; then try to get a good job at home or abroad. Most places have a shortage of nurses so that or engineering or medicine may be good.

Of course, if you are very wealthy you can buy your way in by having a business. All of the rules are on US immigration web site.

Umm, you don't need to marry someone to get a green card or citizenship.
