This is kind of a personal question....is it okay for a woman to masturbate being pregnant...not using toys, just hands? I'm only a few weeks along, i just found out that i'm pregnant.

Unless there are complications with the pregnancy and the doctor has advised a woman not to have sex or masturbate, it's safe to masturbate or enjoy sexual pleasure when you are pregnant because a cushioning sac of amniotic fluid surrounds and protects the fetus. Also, in between the vagina and the uterus (where the baby develops) there is the cervix. The cervix is the narrow end of the uterus (the neck of the womb), which extends into the vagina. This area is almost completely closed until the body prepares to deliver the baby, when the cervix opens (called dilating) to let the baby pass through to the vagina. So there is very chance that the baby could be harmed by the act of masturbating.

Absolutely. Make sure you have clean hands. Do not use toys, because they put you at risk of infection because some of them (especially ones with silicone coverings) harbor bacteria if not properly cleaned. I wouldn't risk using toys anyway when you're pregnant. Also, don't use them until at least 6 weeks post-partum, because you don't want to get an infection right after delivery. You can masturbate right up until the end of your pregnancy, toys or hands, doesn't matter as long as you're comfortable and having a normal pregnancy. Have fun!

Yes yes yes. Just wash your hand before and after. I had some of the best orgasms while pregnant. Later in my pregnancies I found that an orgasm was the only way to rock the baby to sleep and let me rest.

thats the only way i was able to have a O while i was pregnant! Just make sure the toy is clean!

It will not affect the PG in any adverse way.
Even just with your hands make sure it does not become too vigorous to the point of causing the cervix to become irritated and possibly dilated.

Yes, you can masturbate and have sex. If your having sex choose a position that won't introduce air into the vagina.

yes it's o.k.! i don't even think that using toys would hurt anything... as long as you are not risking infection with something that hasn't been cleaned properly
