You can make your eyes look bigger by putting just a tiny bit of black eyeliner in the outer corner. Make like a "V" a tiny bit on the top and a tiny bit on the bottom...don't go out far at all, just a little "V"
Always curl your eyelashes first and then use your mascara this will keep them from getting that small look.
Try a little soft gold eyeshadow on the outer top lid up by your brow this gives the apperance of your eyes wide open.
Hope this helps some...

I have brown eyes and brown hair that seem to get lost some times. For night, I use light (almost natural) shimmer eyeshadow along the brow line with a light purple on the lid and line them with brown or black liner, curl the lashes and use a matching mascara. For day, just a light shimmer eye shadow. It seems to work for me.

Shimmery eyeshadows in colors that flatter brown eyes: lilac/lavender; greens; grays; shades of pink; gold.
Be sure to use some highlighter, too, at either side of your eyes (it widens and opens up the entire eye area). Revlon makes a good one that is in a retractable form and has a brush. It's called Skinlights Illusion Wand and comes in a few shades.

Your right about eyeliner and mascara. get a shimmer tree pack of a brown tan and light brown eye shadow, use it to your brow going from the darkest color to the lightest, also a light color, almost white powder liner around the rest of your eyes will open them up.

Take a shimmery color, perhaps gold, and put a thin line wear below your eye like eyeliner. Take a similar color and use that as eye shadow. Your eyes will surely pop instead of being so small. I have the same prob. Hope it works for you too!

use light colors almost white on the lids and under your brows, than some natural brown that's clost to ur eye color in between and blend lightly...also use brown eyeliner on the top lid and light mascara on the top not the bottom...it will open up your eyes and give it more definition

curl your eyelashes, apply mascara lightly to the tips, and use a soft grey or pale lavender eyeshadow. line the outer edge of your eye lid and apply a brown or bronze eyeshadow to the crease of your eye (only with lavender not grey)
