when we were getting ready for the talent show this guy i like comes up to me and says that i looked crappy, but he said it in a playful way,but a little mean at the same time.

He probably was not meaning as an insult but more of a playful banter. Do not take it seriously, most men make crude jokes to show affection and friendship. Women tend to take things more personal then we should especially when we like a guy but trust me he probably meant no offfense,.

He's a jerk. Ignore him. Sometimes guys do/say mean things to us to show us they like us. Its weird, but then again, so are men. Good luck.
