To start with I must say that I love my boyfriend very much. a couple of days ago I was talking to a bloke on yahoo im, he got a bit iffy about it, then i noticed my message archiving had been turned on (could only have been him) on my computer (its not shared its mine)
Anyway, is it ok to talk to people or is he right to feel uncomfortable?

First thing - if it's your computer, then he has no business going behind your back to see who you've been talking to, what sites you've visited, etc. That's just an invasion of privacy. Second, I guess it depends on what you were talking about with the other man. If you were engaging in sexy teasing or discussing anything of a personal nature, then yeah, he's right to feel uncomfortable. but since he had to look at your private stuff, then he can't say much about it since he had to invade your privacy to find out what you were doing, right? I guess he's just insecure that you will cyber-cheat on him? If I were you, tho, I would be upset that he didnt' trust you to the point where he looked on your computer to see what you'd been doing. Good luck - this seems like a sticky problem.

I don't think he should feel uncomfortable unless there is something going on behind his back. Talking to people and making friends shouldn't be something for him to get upset about. Sit him down and talk to him about it. If he still has doubts, pull an extra chair up to the computer and let him surf the net with you and see what all you do. Maybe he'll change his mind and decide to chat also!

If you feel the need to prove to him that the conversations are innocent, then leave the archive on, and invite him to read it. Otherwise, check the computer each time you log on. He shouldn't be changing things on your computer without asking you. That shows a lack of trust on HIS part.

i talk to the opposite sex on the computer all the time and so does my partner. i honestly don't see the harm in it because its only chatting to someone. if you and your bf trust one another then it shouldn't cause problems but clearly there is some lack of trust in your relationship and the best thing you can do is approach your bf and just ask him straight out if he minds you chatting on the computer. this is the only way this will be resolved.
good luck :)

As everything, it depends on the relationship. I do have something of a possessive streak as does my Girlfriend. On the other hand, I do have enough trust in her that I'm not concerned who she talks to on-line. If something was going on, I'd just as soon she tell me because it indicates a problem with the relationship.

You need to get in there and let your boyfriend know that you have been speaking to someone on the computer, and reassure him that it`s just general chit chat, If you don`t and it was him on the computer then his mind will be working overtime, this will spoil your relationship... Do it now.

It depends on what you are talking about...if it is the weather or politics or whatever then fine...but he should be upset if you are doing something else. If he is worried it is because he cares...just put yourself in his shoes and see how it would make you feel if he were doing it to you. That will give you your answer. Good Luck!!

It depends on what you are talking about. If you can have the convos in front of him with nothing to hide, then it should be fine, otherwise I would say it is wrong.

I wouldn't like it if my man was talking to other women on here. So put yourself in his shoes and do what you would want done to you. Be honest with yourself.
