its the box towards the right hand side of the toolbar,which says search the web. When i press the down sign a list of sites visited drops down, how (if possible) do i delete them ?

Go up to Tools, Internet options, General, Clear History

You may delete them by doing right click in the Internet Icon, then choose "properties" and click to "delete historic" or "clear history", sorry I'm not sure about how is written in the english version...

Then select the "search toolbar" and click remove.

Tools then Internet options and delete cookies and clear history that should do it or you can download a program called Window Washer.

click on toolbar settings its a pencil i think and it should say cleas search history click on it but thats only for yahoo tool bar and search box
