No, it should never hurt to urinate unless you have a bladder infection or some other malady. If you drink a lot of water, drink a 16 ounce bottle with 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in it and it will neutralize and calm the bladder. Bladder infections cause frequency in urination, burning, pressure and pain. If symptoms do not subside in 24 hours see a Doctor and have an urine test.
All the best to you.

Drinks lots of water and cranberry juice. You may have a UTI or even an STD. Not trying to scare you, but some STD have it burning while urinating. I would suggest you go to the dotctor. Especially if you start to see blood. Meanwhile drink cranberry juice. It helps to prevent uti's and treat early ones.

You might have UTI, or Urinary Track Infection. I had a huge spell of that bull when I was in 5th grade and it hurt like heck lemme tell ya!!! And you feel like you always need to go but when you get to the bathroom you find out that you can't... and when you finally can it hurts like crazy and you still feel like you need to go!! Drink lots of cranberry juice (it makes you urinate a lot) until it doesn't hurt anymore. My doctor made me do that and I was so glad because I love cranberry juice.

Its called a UTI-Urinary Tract Infection. Go to the doctor for some antibiotics. Then after it is gone make sure you are drinking lots of fluids and do not hold your urine if you have to go to the restroom

You might have a bladder infection and should go get something for it. Go to your doctor and get meds. Until you go you can drink cranberry juice to help some, but it won't get rid of it. Or it could be something else, which again you should go to the doc's. Never take chances with something like that. Better safe then sorry.
Hope this helps out some, because until you get to the doctor's it could be any number of things, and you don't want to get sicker then you might already feel. Have a nice day.

I would definately say that you probably have a UTI or possibly another infection. Most females will get a UTI some point in their life and may even get multiple. Drink plenty of water and cranberry juice/grape&cran juice and this will help until you get into see a doctor.

If it's burning it could either be a yeast infection (if there's white goo coming out) or a Urinary Tract Infection (if there's slight bleeding). Yeast infections can be easily treated with over the counter medicines and creams. UTIs need to be treated at your doctor's and he will prescribe an antibiotic.

Urinary tract infections are more common in the summer. You can try over-the-counter bladder anesthetic tablets, drink plenty of cranberry juice and water to see if your pain and urinary frequency subside. Sometimes things clear up on their own. However, if it continues, get to a doctor. If you are sexually active, it could be related to that, so don't let it go too long. Also, watch wearing tight clothing in the crotch area, or taking baths using bubble bath can irritate the bladder. It can move to the vaginal area too, so be aware of that.

You probably have a urinary tract infection. There are some over the counter medications and cranberry pills and juice help but I would recommend to go to the doctor. He can prescribe something to take the sting out
