i love all type's of men the good honest one's ect... but when it come's to getting serious it's like i did wrong! my family and friend's does not accept interacial relationship's!it's soo wrong. why?are they like that?

People are stuck in their old ways of thinking.......I've never let peoples views influence me.......I used to have heated arguements about it with my dad regarding black people. He is from the south and he wouldn't care if i had black friends but he would say something bad about them all the time, GOD forbid if I ever dated a black guy.........I always thought that it was a stupid way of thinking espcially since I am 1/2 white and 1/2 cuban and my father is now married to a mexican woman and has 2 kids by her......makes no sense to me. I married a mexican man, not because I am against dating a black guy but because it just happened like that, but i know that I am not closed minded and i have always told my husband that i don't care who my son or daughter date or marry as long as that person is good to them, has some sort of future and makes my kid happy my dad just rolls his eyes when i say that and i don't really care. cause me as a parent i should look for what makes my kids happy, not what color skin they have.........thats all i ask for. I personally think that mixed babies are the cutest lol.

I think they are just stuck in their ways. So stuck that they won't give the person a fair chance. If you really want someone, my advice is to go for it and force them to give him a chance. I am in an interracial relationship.. im White and my girlfriend is Hispanic. We have been fortunate enough to avoid those family problems. However, interacting with her family has shown me why it is that some people fear and reject thes relationships. Do what you feel is right, but I think everyone has the ability to open up to new things.

I think it's because they don't know any better....having different types of races, ethnicities and cultures are the things that make the world look like a rainbow - i think it's beautiful and do NOT allow them to run your life as long as you're with someone that makes you happy!

It was the way they were raised maybe. What you do in your life or with your life is your choice. As long as the person you are with loves you and treats you right then what does it matter what others think?

Maybe they could be racist. Maybe they just want you to date your own race. They also could've been mistreated in the past by other races so they just don't like them.

yes, i understand you. i have a boyfriend which is hasn't the same nationality with me and, even if we are both Europeans, my mother doesn't like him. i don't even want to think of what reaction she would have if my boyfriend and i hadn't been of the same race.

because there ignorant or racist.. who r u living for them or urself?? when u date it's to please u and for ur approval not there's so if u want to be w/someone other than ur own nationality then u should go for it.. they r just close minded and u should tell them so..
let them know it's not what they want but what u want...
