They go to the Land of Lost Socks. Really. This is a happy place where lost socks, lost keys, pens, childhood playthings, and sometimes even marbles can be found. Frolicking along the hillsides you will see lone playing cards, diamond rings, puzzle pieces and dollar bills. It is hard to convince these things to stay here in our mundane world. The attraction is too strong and the rewards are too great. It is a paradise like no other.

The bread wrapper walks to the bin, socks are usually hiding behind the dryer and paper clips, I really do not know. My co-worker normally steals mine.

They walk away, some to the dryer socks, others with the paper clips.

Dryers always leave just one sock of each pair. There are no twisties around when you need them, so they don't go to the place where dryer socks go. My guess is they go under the stove or refrigerator helped along by my cat.

I put them in a sandwich bag in the "crafts" drawer in the kitchen. There is a sandwich bag with rubber bands, one with pencils, one with pens, etc. When the grandchildren come, or the children from the Sunday School class I teach, they always know where they are.

Wrapper ties are great for "tying" garbage bag aprons onto kids when we "throw paint" in the back yard! They're also very good for holding up long sleeves when we are tie dying shirts!

little house sprites like to move things around, and then you look again, and they magically appear. some times of course, they are facinated to the point that they take them for their own forever, and you will never find them. such is the life of a little house sprite. if you ever loose something of value, and it is really bothering you, you can call on saint anthony or one of the angels to help you find it. otherwise, we are taught lessons from time to time to find out what is really important in our lives... "let it go" material things are not that important, it's the spiritual/emotional things that are meant to last.

They get ground up and put into school lunch hamburgers.

Actually, this is half true, I found bread ties into two different hamburgers when I was in elementary school. Eeeeew!

Haven't you ever heard of the "Borrowers"? See author Alice Mary Norton. She will answer all your questions concerning missing household items, and quite enjoyably I might add.

Due to the magnetic north pole, look in that area of your home. They usually accumulate under the corner of a rug in that area, or in the wall. ;O)
