Rubbish. There obviously are men who consider themselves 'hard' who have been footballers- Billy Bremner, Nobby Stiles, Vinnie Jones and many others. I bet you wouldn't call them 'thick noofters' to their faces. The fact that some writhe theatrically on the ground to win a free kick is one of despair to a fair-game loving football fan.
