Too many people believe that if you wear the clothing of the opposite sex you must behave that way and they don't want to do that.
But I agree why does clothing have to suit only one gender. It took many decades for it to become acceptable in the USA for women to wear pants. Does it make them less female... do they have to act like men when they wear them...
a man wearing a dress or skirt is still frowned upon here as a general practice today (which is ridiculous since all humans first wore skirt and dress like clothing ) but I think in the next couple of decades that will change. Clothing should not define us nor should anyone feel they must wear or not wear any particular item.

Just like there is a difference naked people, stereotyping of wearing clothes differentiates the gender in people. Whether unisex is a trend or not, femininity is unique when women wear feminine clothing.

As long as you dress modestly and bring no shame to yourself or your family, I don't believe these days there is a difference in the clothes. It is unfortunate, though, that the girls in their teens and early 20s feel the need to dress like hookers. I would rather they wear just about anything, other than the "Look, I'm a prostitute" clothes --- tight jeans, stomachs hanging out, etc.

Just because we are attracted to our own gender doesn't mean we want to abandon the stereotypes of what that gender represents. I like masculine men and I don't want a guy who dresses in an androgynous way. Likewise I like sexy women I want her to look like a woman.

Because society says so. Our society has deemed it "bad" and "gross" to go naked (that is what you mean, right?).

If it were my way, we'd all be running around naked.
