I'd have to vote for romantic.....most every girl's dream is to be blown away with a romantic marriage proposal.
Something she'll never, ever forget.

Any marriage proposal that has serious forethought and will be something she will without a doubt enjoy is a winner. For example, if she's into hill walking and hiking, why not book a lovely hiking holiday where the crescendo is an early morning hike to the very top of a mountain peak to watch the sunrise. Break out the ring and pop the question as the sun crests the horizon. Oh, and bring chilled champagne to celebrate.

The name of the game is to make it something she will remember, and that she will enjoy. Don't drag her to a footy match and then propose over the big screen if she hates the game. Just use a little imagination, a little romance, and know your woman, and you are all set for a brilliant proposal.

I am not a girl, but an old man(69) and married three times so,
experience tells me that you must learn to trust your instinct and
also learn how to notice others. So, if you have to ask this kind of
question, you are not yet ready to decide nor allow anyone else
decide for you. When the correct guy shows up, and I am certain
that he will, you will be certain and can take this decision. In doubt,
stay out. Good luck, I hope the right guy shows up soon. But please,
do not rush the matter, this could be disaster.

I would say it depends on the personality of the girl you are proposing to. If she is really fun loving maybe do something fun or funny to propose. If she's a romantic make it a romantic proposal.

My husband kept proposing to me and I kept refusing, until 4 years later, he came in from University where he was studying a degree at the time, he grabbed my arm ran upstairs, threw me on the bed jumped on me pinned my arms down so I couldn't move, then proposed again, this time he said he wouldn't get off me till I said yes, now considering my husband is one huge bloke, I had to say yes, so I could start breathing again, lol. Anyway he went off and arranged everything, we were married 2 months later, he said he did it quick so I couldn't change my mind. We been married now for 11 years, I have to say, his proposal worked for me rather than the serious stuff. Good Luck what ever way you choose, I hope she says yes, I will keep my fingers crossed 4 u.

It depends on your lady. Is she romantic? Does she make a joke of everything and expects others to do the same? I really do hope you know her very well before you propose to her.

I think some old style romance is best. But if shes not into the soppy romance then do something that she will enjoy because you know her best. My fiance proposed by taking me up in a hot air balloon when he got back from Iraq and asked me then.

Romantic. Totally unexpected. probably down on one knee somewhere really busy so that everyone can see you.
That'd be quite amusing but at the same time obviously because you mean it you'd be serious....

Good luck..

I hope she says yes whichever way you decide to ask her...

As long as you mean it seriously, a romantic and amusing one will capture the spirit more. Do something wild!
