Ironman. Haha, some guy thought that this is a DC vs. Marvel question, although both characters are from Marvel.
Anyway this fight shouldn't take more then 5 minute if Ironman wanted. Ok, I'll be fair, in real life Ironman should take down Captain America without breaking a sweat. I mean the guy can fly, has weapons of mass destruction, he has super-genius intelect and he's armour is almost undestructible.
However, in the comics, from that I know Captain America, he's so overrated that he could take down Wolverine, Cyclops, Thanos, Hulk, Spiderman and Ironman... all at the same time. They would say that Captain America's shild would just protect him from all Ironman's attacks, and then throw his shield and cut Ironman in two which is totally wrong.
I'm not saying that Captain America sux, or that Ironman is the bomb, but it true, Ironman could destory Captain America in a matter of seconds. F%ck, I think Ironman could take down a whole bunch of superheroes by himself, thanx to his genius of creating such an amazing siut.

Actually Captain America and Iron have fought during the Armour Wars and Iron Man easily beat Captain America. Iron Man can withstand a nuclear blast with his personal shield, (See The Ultimates) Captain America is the world's most dangerous fighter, but he doesn't come close to Tony Starks technology. Iron-Man could pick him up and carry him to the edge of space and drop him. Hmmm..I wonder if the good Captain could survive a fall from that height even with his shield. Iron Man all the way.

Honestly, when you ask this are you asking about their battles techniques and fighting skills or their human qualities?
In any case, Ironman would most likely defeat Captain America in battle but it wouldn't be an easy fight. They are both strong and willed human beings. Ironman does have the weapons and machines, while Cap has a shield and his serum.
On the moral's case, Ironman would lose instantly. I'm sorry to fans of Ironman if you're reading this but Captain America would that argument. Ironman, aka Tony Stark, is a man who self-centered and honestly doesn't quite understand what it means to be good. Captain America, aka Steve Rogers, is a good man. He as been since the beginning and he wants to fight for the right thing.
In any case, you have to ask on what scale is the other one better. Morality or physical capabilities. Don't forget however, that Ironman is also very human and Captain America does have "super powers" to some aspect.

Captain America, in the civil war captain america won, caps shield cannot be broken by anything iron man throws at him, captain america has some of the most high tech weaponry such as plasma grenades, a pistol Which shoots vibrainium bullets same for his ak-12, sniper rifle, and uni which all can peirce iron man's armor, another factor is which suit iron man is using

Inside iron man is tony stark, a regular man with a regular heart. Sure he is brave, but his heart does not match Cap's. Heart is a power that rises above any other super power. Cap may not be a genius but when it comes to strategy, planning, motivating others to accomplish a common goal, he owns the battle field. iron man's suit is not almost indestructible either, he can get damaged and lose power as well, Caps shield on the other hand...
