I do!!! I am proud to be a Texan! I love the country and I love everything about the state, well maybe not the mosquitoes. I was born in Fort Worth and lived in Texas all my life. I love that people from every where in the U.S. associates Texans with southern accents, just as long as it is not in a condescending way. It cracks me up that people who have never been to Texas think that we all have outhouses and dirt floors in our houses. My dad was born and raised in Virginia and moved to Texas and meet my mom. His family came down here last summer to visit and asked me where our outhouse was and wanted to see all my horses. I couldn't stop laughing because they were very serious. I don't have an outhouse just to let yall know, I live in a regular home. I don't have any horses myself, but since I live in the country, there are plenty around. All they really wanted to see was a cowboy that came with whole cowboy git up. Luckily, my boyfriend is a cowboy, he even comes with the cowboy hat and boots. Of course that is not unusual where I live. Anyways, I would never move from Texas, in my opinion it is the best state! When I tan, I use the little Texas stickers, so I have a white Texas on my hip right now. Actually, my boyfriend just bought me a Texas charm bracelet, Texas earrings and a Texas necklace, in case you haven't got the point yet, I LOVE TEXAS!!

I probably would not live in any other state except ALASKA! I was born and raised in Texas. (Fort Worth to be exact.) I have visited many of the other states, and there just seems to be and innate pride among Texans that citizens of other states don't seem to have. Some say it is an elitist attitude, but I would have to disagree. You would be hard pressed to find friendlier people anywhere else in the country. The ONLY thing I would change about Texas is that I wish we had a little bit of winter here. Not just an occasional ice storm.

Live in Texas most of my life, but can't say I like it better than Colorado or California, and probably a few others. I'd have to say I like Austin about as well as any city, but not Texas more than any other state.

Never really been to Texas, except on a lay-over when flying somewhere else. But, since its where George Bush lives, I don't want to go there. I agree with the Dixie Chicks!

Definitely not me. My wife and kids like it, but there are many states I'd rather live. The city you live in makes a difference too. I like Houston and Austin, but think Dallas and San Antonio suck! Unfortunately, I live in Dallas.
Texas= bad public schools, too few quality universities for such a large state, long summer, no fall colors, low paying jobs, too big a state with very little to see, very little in the way of culture, too close to Louisiana and Oklahoma, and on and on.
