Everybody knows Superman's dog is Krypto. So what are the names of the Super-cat,Super-Horse and -God help us- the Super-monkey?

Supercat: Streaky (with a descendant named Whizzy)

Super Monkey: Beppo

SuperHorse: now that's an interesting one, because he was originally a centaur in ancient Greece named Chiron. but he was tricked into drinking a magic potion that would make him all horse (instead of all man, which he wanted.) See, he had fallen in love with Supergirl (during one of her time-travel adventures there) and wanted to, um, woo her. But an enemy of the sorceress who was making the potion for him switched it with the opposite one.

To make up for it, the sorceress gave him another potion which gave him his super powers. The flip side is that whenever he is in the presence (astronomically speaking) of a comet, he reverts to human!

When Supergirl met him, it was in his horse form. He has a comet-shaped birthmark, so she named him Comet. But whenever a comet comes near Earth he changes into human form and moonlights as Bronco Bill doing a circus trick-riding act or working the rodeos.

Now for something really freaky: As Bronco Bill, he is in love with Supergirl, who finds him strangely attractive. But he knows that she could never reciprocate the love of someone who was a part-time horse (as opposed to someone who was part horse!) and so has never told her his real identity. Poor Supergirl has no idea that the handsome well- um, built... stranger is really her beloved pet and heroic traveling companion. Kinda puts 'My Little Pony' in the shade, doesn't it...?
