Niagara, perhaps? A set of waterfalls that spans the US/Canadian border near Buffalo, New York - plus the river leading up to the falls.

I found references to "Nayagara" in India and Sri Lanka. I believe it is a family name. Found several companies named that.

The word Niagara comes from the Neutral Indian word onghiar (pronounced on-ge-ara), meaning "thunder of waters". It was their name for a waterfall that was later adapted by European settlers as Niagara Falls.
