I think that is a great idea. I think the reason that the Gay/bi/ transgendered have a special day is that they are the minority. So it is more cause to get it out there. The majority of the population is straight from what I guess. Go ahead get your friends together and make a parade.

Okay maybe you're trying to make this seem neutral so that apparently gay people realize the "aboslute absurdity" of their parades but "flaunting it to everyont"?? Um, I don't think so!!! Dude if you don't want to go to a gay pride parade, don't go!!! Sorry if they bother you so much but it's not flaunting and it's not fair for you to say that it's flaunting just because it's there!! Yeah there's Black History Month but that doesn't mean that you can make jokes about setting up a White History Month just because you're not black... minorities need to stick together and celebrate who they are.

I'm straight, and I don't see the point. Everything around us celebrates being straight, aside from a small handful of tv shows and musicians. All the ads on tv are of straight couples, all the wedding announcements in the paper (hell, the fact that I can get married and gay folks can't) - everything is set up for straight people. Life in America is one, big straight pride parade.

Well, if you had been oppressed, discriminated against and insulted (like in your previous question) as much as LGBT people have, I'd say you're welcome to your parade. Some of us have even been assaulted by hate-spewing bigots.
Until that day comes - and I hope it never does for you - then do not deny LGBT people the opportunity to unite against oppression and bigotry. It is only by bringing attention to these things that they will ever change.
By the way, we don't "flaunt" anything except needing the same rights enjoyed by others.
If you don't like gay sex, don't have sex with a gay person. But right now, today, stop defaming us with your hatred and bigotry. I certainly hope you don't call yourself a 'christian.' WWJD?

I would be completely fine with it. I'm gay, and I'd probably come to the straight pride parade to support you in being straight and being proud of that fact.
There's nothing wrong with being proud of who you are and who you were born. I'm all for a parade for straight people. I'm also all for a parade for gay people, a parade for animal rights, a parade for black people, a parade for asian people, a parade for anyone who wants one. Celebrate who you are - I'll celebrate who I am.

Straight people aren't marginalized like the gay community is. The reason for gay pride day, Martin Luther King Day, and all such days/events is to insure that opressed people are treated fairly and that people take note of what they have to put up with. Every other day in the US is pretty much straight white christian day anyway.

i'd feel worried because i'm sure that the minority groups would stir up some trouble because of it! imagine how much hell we'd all catch for that!
as to the response before this one:
i have no problem with these, lets call them "minorty events". i'm a big supporter of heritage and celebrating who you are. however, if the majority (i am a straight, white, middle class male) tries to do the same thing, there is an instant negative reaction!
minorities preach equality, how about sharing some of it!

I wouldn't attend to flaunt anything to anyone. I would show up just to support the other straight people in my community.

Hey.....knock yourself out! Maybe it will catch on. I'd definitely attend, and may even participate. Parades are all about flamboyance, though, and Gay guys do that much better than Straight guys.
