Good beginer guitar songs/ riffs?

I'm just starting out on the guitar and I'm looking for some fresh cool segments I can play for my friends. So far I can do some stuff like jingle bells but I want some cool rock riffs. I've also got the intro to smoke on the water

i admire your intent to play the guitar, but to get truly good, you must learn your basics, chords are a good place to start, then you can tackle scales. if you just want to impress people, then find a song you like, and look up the tabs for them.

A lot of Blink 182 is really easy. Star Wars is always fun to play for friends and not too hard. Aerials by System of a Down is pretty good for beginners as well.
