I feel for you!! My soon to be motherinlaw isn't even excited about my wedding to her son! She never asks about the wedding or says anything positive about it. Its very frustrating on my part.
I suppose you need to speak to your husband about this issue that his parents have with you. Hopefully he supports you, unless they have some good reason to dislike you. Try to suck it up the best you can for his sake but don't let his parents trample all over you either.
Good luck.

its hard somehow i feel that once yr in-laws hate you it will even effect the children ..e.g: my parents got married at a very young age.. both sides of in-laws hate each other .. even until now.. (only god know for whatever reasons) sometimes my paternal granny n even his siblings (dad's side) did alot of nasty things to both my parents like stirking out my dad's name for some cash give outs. seriously i think my family is the "black sheep" to both sides.. so basically once they hate you its no use trying to be nice..

There is no nice way to get around this - I think that you need to stand your ground.
I tried for years to like my partner's mother, but clearly this was not about to happen. I have learned, that at the end of the day you need to determine what is it that makes you feel comfortable and happy - you can love their daughter or son but you don't need to love them.
Be who you are.
Love and joy

I don't allow them to affect me, they are allowed to see the grandkids as long as visits follow without incident. They are not allowed in my life, meaning no holidays with extended family, but my kids still see them...days later.

My wife and my mother detested one another. We lived in a city across the country and thus limited her visits.
