Yahoo !Answers is a a gigantic forum where people from all over the world and from all walks of life can share their ideas, their concerns and their wisdom. It is a great place to draw on the knowledge and experience of a variety of people to resolve problems or simply to find like-minded people so we don't feel so alone.
There are some people who say things for shock value, but from what I have seen, respondents are usually sincere and share their knowledge graciously and generously.
I personally have learned a great deal by participating in Yahoo! Answers. Perhaps you can try to appreciate the effort people put into answering questions instead of criticizing them for making that effort.

Most of these responces are called "opinions" and everyone has an opinion. Doesn't necessarily mean they're an expert. If you want an expert opinion on something, quit hanging out in chat rooms and call an expert, lol!
AND some of the folks on here are actually pretty smart.
