Everyone says all Emos self harm. I go to a Help group and i know people from all social groups that hate life and try to commit suicide, self harm etc. Its stereotyping such as everyone says that Chavettes will all have kids by 20 with unknown dads. Its not true. People have always made up stuff about people in groups such as all skinheads are racists, all mods are puffs, all rockers were criminals. Emo is a Fad that will die out like all the rest of them.

Generalization = not good!
Its just a trend, ie like mods, punks etc.
They ALL self-harm is just crap - some will push it to extremes as you get in all walks of life.
Dont typecast any particular type of person!

i think its a valid question and not at all abusive... ive heard the same and also that they self harm. how is it abusive trying to find out about something you have very little knowledge of???

Emo is a youth culture, by the time they are 30 they will prob no longer be 'emo', growe up child

before EMO was a term, they just used to be "troubled youths".
...oh, and 30 SO doesn't suck!!! it rulez!!! (I've had more oral pleasure since I turned 30 than EVER I did before!!! (but that might have something to do with divorcing my wife & partying again!!!))
