I'm currently in the process of writing a book and just need some info on how to start the process of getting it published once it is finished. Any help is appreciated.

As an experienced writer and published fantasy author, I suggest you find a good editor to clean up your manuscript and get it ready for submission to various agents. You'll have to research those, as there are no right answers when it comes to agents EXCEPT that you need one if you're a new author. Most major publishers these days won't even open unsolicited manuscripts unless you have previously published something OR you have a super strong query letter or an agent submitting for you. Publisher slush piles are in the thousands, so don't waste your time, postage or printing costs submitting direct.

Once you have a finished, polished manuscript and an agent to handle it, you should be able to find a publisher sooner or later. Agents know the game and they know what the publishing houses are looking for. Trying it on your own is a long, tedious and often disappointing road to oblivion.

That's my advice. Good luck with your book.

Ask your friends or people who are close to you.For your book to get published, finish it fast and give it to a good Book Publishing Company to read it.Then if it is any good it will be published. If it doesn't work out start a company yourself(i know you need money for that so take a loan)and publish it

Consult the Writer's Market or Novel and Short Story Writer's Market books at your library. They are also available at book stores.

Within are lists of literary agents and publishers that will state their preferences in genre, type of manuscript, and methods of submissions. A literary agent is the best approach for unpublished authors. Always check their websites for additional guidelines.

Format your manuscript in accordance with acceptable guidelines--always double-spaced with pertinent contact information on the cover page.

Meanwhile, edit your story as it moves on. When your writing slows, concentrate on catching errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Any manuscript submitted prematurely without corrections will surely be scrapped immediately upon receipt.

Learn how to craft a powerful query letter; they are the door openers to representation.

You have to ship it to an agent. Find dealers that learn ur form of labor, then along side the primary 3 chapters of your tale write your question letter and ship a self adressed enveope so they may be able to ship u their reaction. Query letter is pretty much approximately who you're, what your e-book is approximately, and why she will have to represnt you. If the agent likes your e-book, he/she is going to ship it to publishers, and if the publishers adore it, they wil make an present on it, to shop for ur e-book. Before you do any of this, have men and women... A LOT of pepole appear at it and supply you critisim. Dont waste time sending it out to dealers, until its most likely ideal. Of path you'll be able to additionally self post, however you'll now not make as so much cash as you could via looking to promote it to truly publishing residences.
