Call an exterminator. They're ludicrously hard to kill. or get those sticky pads and place them everywhere they are most likely to be. The thing with cockroaches is that if you stamp on them, their eggs are still viable, so more can still be created, if you behead them they can still wander about for a while, and still lay their eggs, and apparently, they can hold their breath for a week. So use the sticky pads or cockroach spray (RAID). The sticky pads will reassure you as any offspring they may produce will also be stuck to the pad etc, however you're dependent on them all wandering onto the pads in the first place. If this doesn't work, call the exterminator. Infestations can be nasty.

Clean your house and get rid of your cardboard boxes. They are hotels for cockroaches. Then use buy some boric acid and follow the directions on the package. If this does not work, you need to call a professional exterminator.

Depends on where you live. If you're in an apartment complex you have to treat all the units, not just your apartment (call the landlord because it is a health issue). In a house you should treat all the nooks and crannies and put a pesticide around the perimeter of your home. In both cases, you MUST keep everything very clean. I'd get out the bleach and wipe every counter, cupboard, and drawer down. Good luck... those little buggers are smarter than humans!

Head North young man... head north! Cockroaches have been around for millions of years and will be here long after man kills each other off.

You can help by keeping your place clean of food crumbs. Then call the exterminator. get on a "plan" with your exterminator that will help in keeping them away. they have access to chemicals that us normal folks can't because of the license required to use and store them. Make sure your neighbors, if in an apartment, will "play along" to. If you're clean and they're not... even an exterminator can't keep them away!

Burn them--they will after all survive nuclear bombs.
Catch one-- chop it's head off and stick it on a toothpick as a warning to the others.
What I'm trying to say is.... you'll probably have to get a professional exterminator. Roaches are very difficult to get rid of and I have never heard a success story involving any insecticide from off the hardware or grocery store shelf. Exterminators are expensive though but if you really want to get rid of them, that's the way.
Hope this helps & have a great day!!!

A lot of people with cockroach problmes lately!! I have a theroy for that but it's ignorant so I'll keep my mouth shut. But I'd call an exterminator to be sure the job is done effectively.

Get some raid extra strength or commercial strength and spray really good all over especially where you know they come out and along any cracks. Follow up a day or two later with another spray and then get some boric acid and put where any cracks are and along any paths you know they may frequent. That should do it. Be sure to get inside cupboards and drawers.

Ortho Home Defense Max is the best. You can buy it at Costco very reasonably. Spray it inside around your baseboards and outside around the perimeter of your home. It gets rid of most crawling insects. It comes with a handy sprayer and is easy to use and lasts a long time.

If you are in an apartment, then no! They come from your neighbors filthy living. If you are in your own house, bug spray, works. Cleaning the kitchen, works. Getting in an exterminator, works. Try all three.

The heel of your shoe works pretty well, unless the cockroaches you refer to are illegal immigrants.
