I accidentally cleaned my son's. I found it in the washing machine when I was loading the dryer. I never check pockets. If the clothes are in the laundry basket, I wash them.
I had to take the back off, dry the battery, and I am still waiting to be sure it is dryed out. I am not sure if it still going to work or not. It has only been drying out for a couple of days.
I do clean my cell every day. My son, I can't answer for him.

I heard on the news today that a cell phone is dirtier than the bottom of a shoe. So, I plan to clean mine NOW!

I don't clean it all the but I do clean it pretty regular. I never really thought of the health benefits. I just cleaned it so it continued to look and work good

Use a q-tip to bathe the corners. Use like infant wipes to airborne dirt and mud it or basically a ordinary airborne dirt and mud-gathering wipe. right it quite is a tip : as long as you are not getting the buttons or openings moist, you may moist around the different areas and q-tip the buttons and openings...desire that facilitates:)
