Chocolate. Trust me its scientifically proven to help. Eating chocolate releases feel good hormones from the brain and makes you feel less agitated, so get lots of chocolate bars in at that time of the month. Plus get your boyfriend to give you a nice massage. Men need to be more understanding at that time of the month! I once worked with over 20 women and just me been the only male I managed to learn a few tricks :-)
Just tell him to be more understanding because theres not much you can really do to change. Maybe you should spend more alone time during that week. A nice bunch of flowers also helps - so drop him a hint ok.
good luck with that

Yes, I used to have the same problem. When it starts, eat some complex carbohydrate every 2 hours through the day; a couple of digestive biscuits, a slice of wholemeal bread or toast, pasta, porridge, or a banana. It'll sort it out.
The main problem is you get low glycogen levels, and that makes you snappy and ratty. Complex carbs build up your glycogen stores in your liver.
