It really depends on the place you work and the kind of pants and skirt you are pairing together. If it suits the environment of your office, then go for it. Ask yourself how it would affect you and your co-workers if your boss or other co-worker walked in wearing the outfit. If you feel you are making a statement-- don't.

I think a big "no!" A skirt worn over a pair of pants is not suitable for the office, you should be wearing formal.. If you're going to a party then go wear it there not at the office.. ;)

Wear the pants over the skirt just to get a reaction. LOL
I don't know.. It depends on what kind of pants you're talking about. If they fit more like 'tights' I guess it wouldn't look bad. It depends on how you put the outfit together. But, just a skirt over slacks could make a person look like a bag lady

No NOt for the office. Just try to choose between either. Or try a nice dress.
If you have a casual friday, then wear a skirt over a pair of tights.

Not really. I'd say one or the other. A skirt over a pants is like the late 1980's - early 1990's fashion look... if that's what you're going for though, go ahead then.

i wouldn't try to wear the skirt over pants thing to the office. It just doesn't look proffessional enough. I agree that that trend is for the teens. If you happen to like that fashion then wear it on the weekend or on days you have off, but definetely not to the office... =)

No, leave that look to teens. It's not professional at all. Maybe a skirt or pants in seperate outfits. If you like that look of skirt over pants, look for a longer, babydoll top over them. But not too long.

If it is winter and you have not heat other wise I would wear the pants to work and take them off after I started work. I am assuming you work in an office enviroment. If you work in a wharehouse then I think that would be acceptable becasue you are on the floor and it can get pretty dirty out there.

no... a skirt over pants is meant for the field hockey field, and perhaps a short jean shirt over leggings, but NEVER wear a skirt over pants if u wanna be taken seriously!

from a guy's perspective...i agree that it's so yesterday and very tacky for the office unless you work in a place where the dress code is not enforced. the skirt by itself is always a great way to go!
