some uv can penetrate glass and some can't. UV B rays can pass through glass and can penetrate deeper into the surface of human skin. UV A rays can't and are the rays that usually lead to surface sunburns.

UV light is actually a higher energy light than visible light that we see, so if glass does not prevent the passage of lower energy lights of the visible spectrum then UV light for sure can pass through glass.

Yes, UV waves can pass through glass. But remember that glass can bend and focus the rays, and you are in danger of getting burned instead of dark.

I do not recommend trying to make your skin dark by exposure to the sun. It is well-known that damage to the skin from ultraviolet exposure can lead to skin cancer (melanoma).
