why can't we walk on Mars?

Mars is much farther away then the moon. Imagine, we only have one size space shuttle, and it takes 8 months to make it to mars, 16 for a round trip. You need a crew too. 8 months of food and a crew cant fit in a basic shuttle the size of a small bedroom. Science is just waiting to get the money and ability to send man to mars.

You don't actually walk on the moon. You hop. As for mars, I think the gravity is much more on Mars.

Because it takes too long to get there. The mars rovers are doing fine anyway
