I think businesses should incorporate the same policies the schools are. A lot of people do not know how to handle a bully. The schools have developed a program to teach the students and staff how to handle those situations. It is only when everyone works together toward the same goal that things change.

I'm using Australian stats here, but apparently it takes approximately three weeks for a bully to find a new target if they or their favourite punching bag are removed from the situation. Too many people treat bullying as a small problem that happens to kids. It is definitely a big issue and if bullies aren't stopped in the school yard they will continue in the workplace.

To suggest that adults who get bullied are being wimps is to severely underestimate the problem. Bullying in the home is called domestic violence and only a moron would suggest that should not be taken seriously.

People should take responsibility for what happens to and around them, and that means reporting bullying and following through on the complaints made.

I think adults should be able to stick up for them selves. If adults need to run for help because a big bully took their lunch money, then they have got a hell of a mess on their hands when real problems come there way. It is time people take responsibility for what happens to them.
