Wow, what a general subject.
I have no objections to more old-fashioned dating, like the kind where the family is involved too. It shows respect for all involved, particularly the ones being courted/doing the courting.
I have several objections to the newer trend in "dating", whereby dating equates with one-night stands....or um....fuckbuddies.
Old fashioned dating is a good way to learn what kind of effort it really takes to make a successful marraige - also to discover things about yourself and discover qualities you do and do not want in a mate. I don't believe in divorce-on-a-whim.
Like most other things in life, it really depends on the people involved.

Why is dating wrong? How else would you get to know someone? I guess you could call it "seeing a friend," but that doesn't make a lot of sense.
