If you've never been. Don't ride Dragster or Millenium Force early. Get the other ones out of the way. Start with Raptor (closest to the entrance) then go to Magnum, Mantis, and Gemini.
A little piece of advise. DO NOT RIDE THE 'MEAN STREAK'. If you do, make it the last ride of the day. Honestly it will upset your stomach and make your back hurt. It is so bumpy and jerky, it's rediculous. My wife and I both felt miserable after riding it and had to leave the park. So if you must ride it do it last.
Disaster Transport is a waste of time unless you have kids, they really like it.
The best times to ride Dragster and Millenium are after 7 o'clock. The lines are as short as 30 minutes at that time. Besides, you get to watch it all day and second guess whether you really want to do it (dragster).
Good luck and have fun. It's a great park.

Yay, Cedar Point. Maybe I'll see you!
The best time to get to the coasters is any day it's rainy or cloudy. But, right when Cedar Point opens, they just let you run where ever the heck you want to get. I think you'd have a pretty good chance if you got in right at 10 or whatever time they open. It shouldn't be that bad later in the day as well.
I would go to the big ones first if you can get there before everyone else. Do Top Thrill Dragster. It's great. Millennium Force is too. Or, you can just work your way to the back of the back so you can do Raptor, Blue Streak, Disaster Transport, maybe MaxAir if you want, and Wicked Twister, and Demon Drop all near the front. Then keep going towards the back. You'll end up at the entrance eventually.
If you want to work your way up to bigger ones starting with small ones, do Disaster Transport first. It's the indoors one.
Hm, saving money. That's hard to do in Cedar Point. Don't let yourself be persuaded by those guys at the games booths, no matter what compliment they throw at you.
Food is expensive, so maybe you should pack a picnic and throw it in a cooler and leave it in the picnic pavilion before you go in the park.

Pepsi usually runs a promo where you get $ off admission by presenting an empty can at the gate. They have reduced admission and I do not know if this is running this year. Check Pepsi and Cedar Point sites. Another way to save money is to take a couple of coolers, food and beverages, and a grill. There is a picnic area on the left right after you enter the main gate. We have never had any problems leaving our stuff in this area. For those wearing glasses, take those straps that can be attached to the glasses and knot them up to hold the glasses on securely. Lockers are available inside the main gate on the right. Good idea to store items that may go flying out of pockets when riding. Glad you are visiting one of the best coaster parks in the world. Have a fun and safe trip.

Money saving.....bring a cooler with you to leave in the car ...pack lunchmeat, pop, chips, etc with you so you may get a handstamp and go to your car to eat lunch. It will save you alot. Also if you plan on getting a soda in the park think about getting a souvenier cup. You can then purchase refills for less. If it is really hot, you can go up to a food counter and ask for water, it's free.
If you dig roller coasters...Top Thrill Dragste will be the one you need to hit first. get there when the park opens and go quickly to the line. The line can get really, really long for that. A three hour wait is not unheard of. Then hit the others.
One thing to let you know......if you are obese or a female who is overweight with big hips and backside, there is a very good chance you will not be able to ride the rollercoasters. They will tell you that you have to be able to fasten your seatbeat without assistance. They will have you sit into the tester seat to see if you can, if you cannot, you can't ride. Same with height. If you do not meet the height requirement. You cannot ride.
I watched alot of very upset people get turned away from rides they really looked forward to riding.

Cedar Point has been voted the best theme park for a long time so really if it has been honored with that award definently try to go on as many coasters as you can. if you are going for your first time my suggestion is that if Cedar Point offers any fast lane passes i would definently buy into that. no lines and it will tell you when you are allowed to cut the lines. i get fast pass sometimes at Six Flags. it is pretty cool

You are so lucky, I love Cedar pont!
Make sure you go front row on the
raptor
mantis
millenium force
Dragster
Magnum
Also go on the Power Tower which in my opinion is the scariest ride in the whole park because you never know when it's going to drop.
if you don't feel like waiting in the long lines, get your hand stamped. Their is a certain time of the day to get your hand stamped so you can come back to the ride and wait only 5 mins instead of 1 hour. And you have to try the buffet. The food is great there and it's really cheap.

Girl....be prepared to stand in line for a very long time (depending on what day you go) I am talking about 90 minute waits at the minimum. Ride the Raptor, the skyhawk, the maxair, millenium force and the top thrill dragster. Cedar Point is very expensive so watch what you buy and if you wanna go to the water park, it costs extra

ride all the coasters! Gemini (if it's still there) is a little "rough"...jerks you around a bit, but it's still fun! Hope you like BIG coasters! Cedar Point is, by far, the best amusement park I've ever been to!!!!!

Personally, I didn't really enjoy it there because the lines were long and if you aren't at least an inch over the minimum height requirement, they will not let you on the ride. I went a few years ago and was the exact height I needed to be to go on The Mantis (I think that's what it was called) and they did not let me on. Oh yeah, beware of that ride because my brother and cousin got stuck on that ride so maybe try going early in the day for that!

I'm jealous. I'm 48 years old. I have an OLD movies of me (with my cousin in Cedar Point in the race cars on the track). My cousin lived in Ohio and we were visiting. I must have been 8 years old -- so wow.....40 years ago!!! How wild, huh? I remember that place!!! I don't have any advice -- just had to pop on here for memory purposes. Hope okay with you.
