I am always receiving a problem on my computer when I enter a website, "there was an error and one of the windows you were using will be closed..." What do you think might be the problem with my computer?

Sounds like it could be some kind of spyware trying to run in the background.

Go to download.com and get two free programs: Ad-aware and Spybot Seek&Destroy. Run them both, as they use different list for what they consider to be Spyware, so one may get something the other misses.

Nice... Using this to promote some other OS, or who-knows-what.

As far as the issue goes, does it always happen to the same web site or could it be any web site? If it's always the same site, they could be running some script that is not working well with your computer, or that could possibly not be working well with ANY computer. Hard to say.

Best thing you can do is run the recommended virus scans and spyware software and then delete all of your temporary internet files and try again.

Virus Scan - do a google search for housecall free virus scan and you will find the Trend Micro virus scan to be one of the first ones listed.

Spyware - do the ad aware and spybot recommendations

Delete temporary internet files - on Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Options and the button to delete the files is there. If the browser locks up, close it (end task) and do it again until it manages to get through the process without locking. (hour glass will go away on its own).

Trying Firefox will tell you if it is an IE only problem.

Good Luck!

Corrupt code at the website, or, you are using Internet Exploder?

Try using Firefox and see what happens.

In fact, try a FREE liveCDrom with 5,000 games, programs, at http://pclinuxos.com You download it, burn image to CD, and reboot.

boots from CD, runs in RAM disc. 8X to 50 X faster than the old Microsoft virus-magnet OS! And, it is Virus free, hacker proof!

At times the problem is with the website. If it occurs in all websites you may need to reinstall your internet browser.
