Take the first day of your period and add 14 days. So if your first day was July 22, you will ovulate approximated Aug 5th. Have intercourse August 1(well 4th now cause it's the 4th) - August 10th. Your chances this month are fairly slim, just because sperm can live inside you for 3-5 days, one you ovualte you have 12-24 hours for the sperm to fertilize. Unfortunately, you can't however just have sex every 12 hours, because the sperm from your man wouldn't be strong enough. It's a tough cycle, and I am trying to conceive with my husband now. So far I haven't started my period yet, which is a good sign, I'm going to wait a few days however to test. I wish you the best of luck, and keep God with you in all you do. Everything is possible through God.
Just an added note since I saw a few other weird comments... when you START your period add 14 days. That is your estimated date... but they say have intercourse 3 days before that up to 3 days after that.

I would suggest getting an ovulation predictor. They are relatively inexpensive (under $20), and can be used to help tell you when you are ovulating. Ovulation usually occurs about 14 days after the end of your period, and the predictor can help you nail that day down. If you don't have any success for a couple of months, you might want to see a fertility specialist so that they can help you find the exact right day and time to help you concieve. Good luck and best wishes on your soon to be new family!

It depends on your cycle. If you have a 28 day cycle (with the first day of your period being day 1), then you should be at your most fertile at around day 14. You will need to work it out if you have a shorter or longer cycle.
The other thing is to look at your body's signs. When your are fertile your discharge will change, usually it will become more of the consistency of egg white.
If you are really serious, then get an ovulation predictor kit. Never used one personally but it might help.
Remember though, it's unlikely that you will get pregnant immediately, it takes time!!

Do you have a cycle of every 28 days? If this is right then you will ovulate near Aug 5th. Have intercourse everyday from Aug 3-7th. Two weeks before, Two weeks after. When I wanted to conceive I followed this and I have 3 healthy, beautiful children. Best of luck.
