Lemon: Good for: 1. Skin care 2. Digestive problems 3. Induces a positive state - Essential oil of lemon is valuable in skin care (oily skin), acne. Lemon is valuable in digestive disorders such as indigestion. Caution: Lemon oil or any citrus oil can cause skin sensitivity when added to the bath unless diluted or can cause skin irritation unless used diluted. Add only 3 drops to tablespoons of Carrier oil at the most to the bath. It may cause photosensitivity. Do not use on skin exposed to direct sunlight, sunlamps and tanning beds. This is the same with all citrus oils. Do not expose area for at lease 72 hours.

Lemongrass: Good for: 1. Insect-repellent 2. Infectious illnesses and fevers 3. Head aches - Lemongrass has a very long history of its use in traditional Indian medicine, especially against infectious illnesses and fevers. Lemongrass has been found to have a soothing effect on headaches, but unlike lavender, should be well diluted in a Carrier oil before gently massaging the temples and forehead, as a neat oil would be damaging to the skin. Caution: The essential oil of lemongrass is sometimes used to adulterate more expensive oils, and sometimes turns up labeled as "verbena", which is similarly lemon-scented. This is another example of why it is so important to know the botanical name for all the oils you buy. Avoid during pregnancy.

Lime: Good for: 1. Nervous restorative and other stress-related disorders. 2. Anti-viral (colds) 3.Antiseptic and Astringent - Lime essential oil is a restorative for the nervous system and other stress-related disorders. Lime is antiseptic, anti-viral, bactericidal and helps with as well as helps to prevent colds and flu. Caution: As in all citrus oils, be careful, as there can be photo toxicity if a person is exposed to direct sunlight. Do not expose area to sun for at least 72 hours. There are two types of lime essential oil expressed and distilled. Use the distilled type as it is less irritating to the skin. Dilute if used in a bath and as in all citrus essential oils add only 3 drops at most to 2 tablespoons of Carrier oil in the bath as it may cause irritation of the skin.

no lemons are good for scrubbing only but excess use strips the face of natural oil which moisturize it use it once a week and it will be sufficient enough

Just buy a 2 dollar cream at walmart and use that i really wouldn't take the risk....they also say clorox is good for acne...im not putting clorox on my face!

no the acid in lemons should not cause damage to your skin....you are safe.

try cucumbers on your eyes... reducing wrinkles around them.
