ok so i have a guy friend that is 1 1/2yrs older than me. we met this year and now we're best friends. we made a deal to call eachother everyday this summer. well now at the end of every call he says "miss you already" and "i love you". i dont say it back and i told him not to say b/c it makes me feel uncomfortable. he just says it faster now as i try 2 hang up b4 he says it. what do i do now?

Relationships require both parties to be comfortable with each other. If one makes the other uncomfortable somebody is getting shortchanged or cheated. It is not a good sign that he behaves in such a way as to make you not feel good. My advice? Screw up your courage and say, something along the lines of, "You are clearly ignoring my request that you not say (whatever it is that bothers you) and the fact that you ignore my request bothers me more than what you say. We can't continue our relationship if you insist on not respecting me (or ignoring my feelings, or stomping on my feelings, or . . . . you get the idea.
We teach people how to treat us and I really hope you teach him well.

Tell him again it makes you feel uncomfortable. If he keeps telling it to you then just don't return his calls...
