how can i record more than one real instrument track at the same time in garage band? i.e. guitar & vocals at the same time but in different tracks.

thanks for the info -Just Bored- it was just what i was looking for...now one more thing, do you know or can recommend any good agregate audio devices?

You need to have Tiger(OS 10.4). There is a way. I had the same question and found it in research. I could find the detail on doing this if ya want, just send me an email.

Sorry. thought I had it enabled. As far as aggregate devices, that is a virtual device you setup allowing you to use your audio in 1/8" jack and any available USB interface. I have the M-Audio fastrack usb device. It is OK.
Also, reading that article, it would seem you could get a Y cable going from 1/8" stereo jack to 2 mono 1/4" female ports. I have not seen one of those myself. But if you could find one, it appears you could use each end of the Y cable to record into 2 different tracks, although I have not tried this.
