There are 40+ states that issue law-abiding citizens CCW (Conceal carry weapon) permits. It is an application that you fill out that allows you to "arm" your self and carry a firearm on your person. The idea of it being concealed is that it is not visible by the naked eye.

The second ammendment allows you the freedom and right to bear arms. Some states allow you to have a firearm on your person as long as it is visible at all times and you are not on a public freeway, etc. You have the right in every state to own a weapon. There are certain restrictions for large (communistic) metropolis.'
Call a local gun shop for state/city specific regulations.

What's the scariest place to be? My house at 3 in the morning uninvited!

Go to packing.org and look up your state. It will tell you if you can get a permit and what the steps are. Know the law before you carry a gun, because the consequences for breaking it can be severe and have life-long consequences.

To answer your other question, in Virginia "concealed" is defined as "hidden from common observance". Other states may have other definitions. To me that means the average person should not be able to tell you have a gun by taking a casual look at you. A police officer or somebody else trained in carrying guns might be able to tell, but that's not "common obervervance".

In most places in the US it IS legal--the Second Amendment protects the right to bear arms. Usually all you need is a permit. In many places it's even legal to carry a concealed weapon. I'm not sure I should have told you that...you're not planning to shoot anybody, are you?

There are many states, I think over 40 of them, which offer concealed carry weapons permits. I been have one since 1996. Check to see if your state offers this.

Depends where u live. I live in Kansas and my dad always carries one, it is basically ok if u have a hunting license. I mean why do they make gun racks for yr truck. Now if u mean like carring it around everywhere u go, there is a course now that u can take to carry a firearm around all the time i dunno the name, maybe u should check with your local wildlife and game on it they usually not all about firearms laws at least they should.

Depends on your state/country. Some places you can get a concealed weapons permit by only paying a registration fee (you obviously have to register and purchase the firearm).

In Vermont you can put a pistol in your pocket and carry it around. The state government does not believe in Gun control at all. Most states have some provision for licensing, but the people who are licensed have to be lifelong do-gooders. That's what you want.

I have a concealed carry permit, which means I can have a weapon hidden on me where it can't be seen. I had to undergo a criminal history check to get this, and can't have had mental problems.

Depending where you are, you can get a permit and carry a gun.
