I am not a pie eater so to put it in perspective i changed pie to cake and i would not eat the last piece because the last piece has all the "fat calories in it" so go ahead you can have it

It depends on the situation and the pie.
Usually I stare at it, distracted, wishing it wasn't rude to take the last piece.

Depends who the company is and if you're trying to be polite.
And just by asking, it's rude for anyone else to say no, they want it. So you'll get it anyway.

It all depends on my mood.....I would usually leave it for someone else....but then it tends to be thrown out because they don't want to take the last piece either....If I am mad at them and I see it laying there, ...I may take it just for spite.....:-)
I won't ask for it though, because I don't want to be labeled as a glutton...
