Why people do not care about the things happening in the middle east at the moment? Everyone seems just to watch TV and comment on everything like if it's a normal thing but it's not. What about all the people dying all the time, do people really care only about Brittish soldiers killed there?

Many people here care, but the large majority of us have no real say in what is going on. America has been hijacked by special interest groups (especially military-industrial and oil) and regardless of how people here feel about it we are only given rationalizations and crys of "unpatriotic" and "America-haters" when we disagree.

"Why aren't you out of there yet? How long are we going to be there?" Democrats, are you going to tell me, is that how you are going to judge if a war is just and worth it by how much time it takes? "If a war goes over three years, oh, get out! I mean, that's our deadline." Well then defund it! Thank God these people aren't leading the effort. In fact, that's a good point. Hey, Democrats how long have you been at war with Bush? Let's see, 2000, the 2000 campaign, we're seven years almost here that you've been at war with George W. Bush -- and you haven't won diddlysquat! Why don't you give up? Why don't you quit? You have been at war with Bush for six years, you haven't been able to beat him. Stop it! Quit! Get out! It's tearing the country apart. Don't you understand? The Civil War didn't go on this long!

What do you expect the person-in-the-street to do to show they care?

The UN called for a ceasefire more than 2 weeks ago...

OIC - Organisation of Islamic Countries demanded an immediate ceasefire 2 days ago...

US Secretary of State reiterated calls for a ceasefire repeatedly...

Security Council members are working out the mechanism on UN troop deployment in South Lebanon...

The world's biggest powers are busy talking about a ceasefire. When the time is suitable UN troops will be despatched to Lebanon. For the interim we just listen and watch the ever-expanding war... there are bigger objectives to achieve.

The problem, at this point, is that the situation seems to be beyond an achievable solution. The US tried a policy of "active involvement" in an attempt to spread peace and democracy throughout the region. We all saw how that worked out. So the average American now thinks less involvement in the region is preferable to greater involvement.

Personally, I think if we tried greater diplomatic involvement (as opposed to an occasional fly-by by Condi Rice), and less military involvement, we'd have far greater results and stability in the region.

This all can stop within hours....

But USA doesn't want it to....

I know you care, and i do too....
and this only makes a bit better...
but not good enough....

So, all we can do is talk.....
If you do anything more that talking.... then you maybe counted as a terrorist...!

it is like that, Why?
Because Dictator of the world "USA" said so

and the USA are responsable for all the deaths in Lebanon, Iraq and other countries...

Wethere they are British, Arab, or even American

But why not? USA will help the Jews, and the Jews will give USA OIL and money when they finish

Ignoring all the offensive lack of expertise contained in the starting up, i ought to easily prefer to ask... Do you extremely imagine that the oil expenditures have not something to do with what's happening contained in the midsection East?

People fear because you are either " with the americans or against them". I guess they fear the might of the bully but have no respect for them. Even a monkey (boss) can be feared not neccessarlly respected. We hope and pray Russia regains its glory so that we have a "democracy" in superpowers
