Wanna hear from a middle-aged white dude? Kala, above, hit the nail right on the head. In no way does the video shaking reflect on the actions of the average black women or of women in general. It is an attention getting bit of advertisement geared to reach a small group of a certain age, to draw attention to their product (music albums) and the TV people who push their goods on the stations who show music videos. Even those in that age group are smart enough to know that find of shaking is not representative of black women, nor feel it gives black women a bad image.

They are just dancers being paid to play some roll the same way others get paid to push tooth paste or jello. In no way does it reflect poorly on the black women. In fact the opp site could be true. It helps to show how fit and talented many black women are today. It takes a lot of both fitness and talent, say nothing of hard work, to do that job, and i have nothing but respect for that kind of committment made by any women of any color.

I don't think it gives Black women a bad image. I'm Black and I feel no connection with these women. They are only giving themselves a bad image. I think most people are smart enough to know that the "average" Black woman:
1. Doesn't dress like they do, and
2. Doesn't shake "it" indiscriminately at whoever passes by them.

Only in the videos; which sicken me as I click past them....but what are ya gonna do, there's obviously a market for this behavior.

No, I just think there should be more videos in which hot men shake their butts, and flaunt their bodies. I believe in equality of butt shaking. And speaking of equality of butt shaking, I'd like to see some white girls represent in the videos.

Well the "men" are the ones that pay them to shake their butts. Butt shaking goes back to African tribal dances, and it is acceptable as part of the black experience today.

Actually that's their choice, they don't make me look bad for one i don't dress like that. Two I'm not attempting to get famous or anything like that. Some of those women are single mothers tryna make ends meet. I'm a single mother and i have a respectable job.....They make women in that type of entertainment look bad. Not the people outside the industry.
